"Barnyard Bunk" (Van Beuren, 1932)
starring Dick and Larry!
The ol' homestead isn't lookin' good. There are fresh eggs available however.
Farmer Alfalfa's mutant cousin has mice in his boots.
Mice are dropping crap on his head. They post a danger sign.
They are conscientious about dropping crap.
He was protected by the duck in his hat. This is logical.
The mice are wrecking everything. If a cartoon with one mouse is popular then a cartoon with eight mice will be eight times as popular. The formula is sure fire.
The dog is crippled. Cripples are funny.
The mice mow down a haunted outhouse. Every cartoon should have a haunted outhouse.
More falling crap. More conscientiousness.
Anger.
Confusion.
Meanwhile Dick and Jerry are playing peppy jazz saxophones for some reason.
Tom and Larry are puzzled as are the audience and film distributor.
Kids, don't drink and draw ...
